RWAVE Helper is a self-contained native downloader. Paste an authorized YouTube or Bilibili link directly in the App, or launch it from the website. Node, yt-dlp and FFmpeg are included; no Terminal or Homebrew is required.

Mac App

  1. Download and unzip RWAVE Helper.
  2. Replace any older copy, then move RWAVE Helper.app to Applications.
  3. Open the App. Paste a link, confirm permission, analyze it and choose video, audio or a source subtitle.
  4. You can also return to the website and choose Open Helper; both interfaces use the same private local processor.

This owner-test build is ad-hoc signed. If macOS blocks the first launch, use Control-click → Open, or choose Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security. A verified developer identity is not required for this manual test path.

Optional no-install Terminal version

Download the Terminal ZIP, keep its folder together, then double-click RWAVE Helper.command. Keep that Terminal window open while using Video Import in the browser. It bundles the same runtime, yt-dlp and FFmpeg and does not require Homebrew, npm or a separate installation.

Privacy

Both versions listen only on 127.0.0.1. Media processing and optional Chrome/Safari cookie access stay on this Mac; files and cookies do not pass through RWAVE servers.
